ARTICLE 1
Name, Corporate Offices and Official Language
- This non-profit, non-political entity incorporated as a company limited by guarantee in the Republic of Ghana shall be called Ghanaian-German Economic Association, also known as GGEA.
- The principal office of GGEA shall be at any location the Board of Directors (the ‘Board’) may from time to time determine.
- The official language in which the business and affairs of GGEA and all meetings of the Members and the Board of GGEA shall be conducted is the English Language.
ARTICLE 2
Purposes of GGEA
The purposes of GGEA are:
- To encourage developmental co-operation by promoting investments, regional and bilateral trade between the private sector of Republic of Ghana, Republic of Liberia, Republic of Sierra Leone and Republic of Gambia and the Federal Republic of Germany.
- To use its best efforts to safeguard and protect the interest of all persons and companies in Ghana, Liberia, Sierra Leone and Gambia engaged in reciprocal commerce with the Federal Republic of Germany.
To accomplish its purposes, GGEA shall:
- Offer professional services to members and non members and establish contacts with organisations, authorities, companies and individuals in Republic of Ghana, Republic of Liberia, Republic of Republic of Sierra Leone, Gambia and the Federal Republic of Germany.
- Form study groups, committees, and hold meetings, seminars organise visits to various countries.
- Publish circulars and journals to inform its members about investment opportunities, economic developments in the Republic of Ghana and communicate results of research or reflection on any part of its activities.
- Develop, disseminate and, where appropriate, implement standards, guidelines, and statements of policy regarding the activities of GGEA.
